Technically speaking, Summer is over, but if weather predictions are anything to go by (and lets be honest, often they’re not) we still have plenty of balmy scorching days ahead.
If your kids are anything like mine, they really struggle with the long days at school during very hot weather and find that outdoor play becomes much less fun when all they want to do is rip their synthetic, clingy school clothes off and find a way to get cold water onto their sweaty skin!
As the afore-mentioned idea is definitely not an option at school, here are six suggestions to help keep our kids cool for the remaining hot days.
FREEZE THEIR WATER
Fill water bottles about a quarter or half way full at night and pop them in the freezer. In the morning add cold water from the fridge and it should keep the water nice and cool until lunchtime. Even better, use insulated bottles or flasks to really keep the water cold and icy.
